Artist. Producer. Songwriter. Vocalist. Multi-instrumentalist. Entrepreneur. A truly independent Canadian musician based in Vaughan, Ontario, Neel Dani does it all, and does it very well. Following in the footsteps of icons like the late and great Prince, his debut EP “Better Late Than Never” was produced, composed, written, arranged and performed entirely by Neel himself, and recorded and mixed by L. Stu Young, engineer for Prince’s 3121 (2006) and Musicology (2004) albums. Singing and playing all the instruments (over 15) on the EP's three songs, Neel even incorporated the use of a toaster oven, giving new meaning to the term "hot track". Armed with a Masters in Ethnomusicology and a Spec. Hons. BFA in Classical Guitar & World Music Performance, Neel blends a wide range of instruments and genres, from alternative, pop, rock, reggae, electronic, hip hop more and more. Better Late Than Never provides a small taste of Neel’s versatility and distinct sound, which bridges the gap between the catchy and complex.
